Meghan & Gabe 's Ranch wedding in Wimberley: October 6, 2012.

Meghan and Gabe gathered their friends and family together for a laid back wedding weekend in Wimberley.  The ranch they rented was such a nice spot for visiting and hanging out--it had a pool, a basketball court, and sweeping scenery all around--a perfect spot.  We made some florals to decorate the grogeous wooden tables laid out under the live oaks, as well as some personal flowers for the ceremony.  I loved the mix of cacti, succulents and bright, cheery florals.  Thanks to Katie and Kristin at Something to Celebrate for coordinating the event and sending Meghan my way--she is a sweetheart!

Meghan's bouquet had stock, feverfew, ball dahlias, dusty miller and maidenhair fern

Long tables had a main centerpiece of a mixed floral arrangement in mason jars, or a cacti & succulent gardern.

Each centerpiece had accents of either potted succulents, or small mixed floral.

Congratulations!

Kelly & Creighton at Horseshoe Bay.

Kelly & Creighton travelled from California to The resort at Horseshoe Bay, TX for their wedding in March--the most fabulous time of year in Texas! (See our wildflower post below---all those shots were taken on the drive back from their wedding!)  We didn't actually have the chance to meet until the wedding day---our correspondence was mainly via emails--it was a fun & painless process which resulted in a colorful, crafty affair!

Kelly wanted to include some stems of wheat in her bouquet as a nod to her home state of Kansas.  Her ladies were wearing yellow, and she gravitated towards crafty elements like fabric and paper (my heart sings a little whenver I hear that!)  So, I made some fun pin wheels to accent the sassy yellow floral in the centerpieces, and we placed them on top of red chevron fabric squares accented by Robin's egg blue votives. The bride's family strung playful pendants, and the cake table was the most adorable collection of intricately decorated cakes I had ever seen!  It was sweet and playful and detailed.  Take a look:

Her whimsical bouquet had roses, acacia, fringe tulips, dried wheat, craspedia, feverfew, and veronica.

We used a fun mix of blooming acacia, rose, feverfew, fringe tulips and Queen Anne's lace.

These pendants were strung all around the reception area.

Adorable cakes!!

Mugs spelling out "LOVE" were placed amongst the cakes.

Congratulations Kelly & Creighton!

Laura & Barrett's Sweet Spring Wedding

Spring in Austin hits full force in March.  In floral-world, it is one of my favorite times of year because of the truly "seasonal" items which become available for a seemingly fleeting period of time.  Yellow, in particular offers up a wealth of beauty in the Spring, and as luck would have it, it is a color this couple likes!  They wed at the beautiful Central Presbyterian Church in downtown Austin (which they walked across the street to from the Omni hotel where they got ready-- how fun & easy is that!) And then headed to Mercuy Hall for their reception.  They made the lovely wishing tree which sat ontop of the family's dining table they brought from their home.  The lovely side board adorned with the most delicious looking treats from Blue Note Bakery was also a family piece--and I haven't yet gotten the story behind the collection of vintage plates, but aren't they just the sweetest things you ever did see??  Surely there is a story there too!

Laura liked the idea of incorporating some vintage books, and we also added some simple, cedar disks as a nod to Barret's family's tree farm roots.  It all came together in a cozy, fresh, spring-y way that felt very warm and sweet.  Take a look:
